Scott

Coming from a family with deep roots in Colorado, Scott grew up in, and fishing the Rockies, from its big lakes to small streams, he loves them all. He has been in the fishing industry since 2007 and has guided on some of the most prestigious waters in the United States. His focus as a guide and owner is to help create lasting memories for your group. He considers himself blessed to be able to share the sport he loves. As a father to two young daughters, he has developed a special love for sharing fishing with kids. His patience, enthusiasm, and love for fishing are nothing short of contagious.

Dylan

Dylan grew up in Northern Kentucky and has had a passion for fishing ever since he was 2 years old.  While he has only been with Big Ed’s for the last 2 years, he is a very experienced guide and eager to put you on the fish!

Before working as a guide, he fished for the University of West Virginia on their collegiate bass fishing team.  Dylan loves to catch anything that swims and always fished his local trout streams and ponds back home.  His love for his job and love for sharing his passion for the outdoors with his clients is very welcoming to all levels of fisherman.

He is very outgoing and considers himself blessed to share his knowledge with clients of all ages.

Amy

I started fishing with my grandpa when I was able to walk and caught my first fish on a fly rod when I was 6. I grew up a few blocks from a lake and would ride my bike down there and fish until the dock lights came on. Every summer we would travel to Colorado to camp and fish with my grandparents, it was something I looked forward to all year.

My favorite fish are lake trout, but brown trout are a very close second. When it’s a tough bite though, my favorite fish is the one at the end of my line.

The reason I guide is pretty simple – I love fishing, and I love sharing it with others. I quit my 8-5 “big girl” job in 2018 because life truly is too short to be unhappy, and I am now entering my fourth season as a full time guide. I guide because I truly enjoy the satisfaction that other people get from catching fish. It’s rewarding for me to see someone get excited over a fish, whether it’s their first or their thousandth fish to catch. I hold a special place for taking kids fishing, because it was something I was introduced to and fell in love with at a young age. Taking kids fishing is one of the most rewarding, and at times, challenging parts of my career.

My other hobbies include fishing on my days off, whitewater rafting, and big game & predator hunting.

Eli

Born and raised in the Bluegrass State, Eli discovered his passion to fish when he fell upon the beauty behind catch and release bass fishing in farm ponds across Boone County. Thanks to his grandfather who provided the experience of his first guided trip in the mountains of Tennessee, Eli knew if he ever had the opportunity to be a fishing guide it would be a dream career. The Great Outdoors has always been where Eli considers home, and he believes he is living right in the center of it here in Dillon, CO. He feels very fortunate to be part of the team at Big Ed’s. His knowledge and skill when it comes to guided fishing mixed with his easy-going, patient, and encouraging personality will provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience for any age group.
